The Montana Lake Getaway is located in the middle of the best powder skiing that the western continent has to offer.  You can travel 45 minutes in any direction and be at 4 different ski areas.  Big Mountain is rated 18th in North America, it has 3,000 skiable acres, eleven lifts, two high-speed quads servicing 2,500 vertical feet and 81 marked runs. Blacktail Mountain has 24 uncrowded groomed runs, more than 13 miles of skiable terrain, 360 degree views of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park and visibility is unlimited most days.  Fernie Ski Area has 97 defined trails with 47 of those being black diamond or double black diamond runs, five alpine bowls and tree skiing, 2500+ skiable acres, and has a lift capacity of 12,300 skiers per hour.   Turner Mountain is quoted by Ski Magazine “As maybe offering the best lift assisted powder skiing in the US.”  Turner offers 2,100 feet of vertical fall line, open weekends, holidays, and by reservation.
